Artist's Comments

I really like this house. It sits on a hill a little north and west of Oklahoma City. With its windmill, storm cellar, tin roof and little porches; it really typifies early Oklahoma.

I was torn between a kind of sepia look and full color. I felt like the sepia effect spoke to its age and forgotten loneliness atop its hill, but the rich color of the rusted tin roof and the greens of spring were awesome too. In the end, I blended the two together for the best of both worlds (in my opinion, at least).

I love how the colors look worn like the house and the windmill. You did an awesome job on this.

Great shot! It really does convey the pioneer spirit of Oklahoma!

Thanks. That's what I was look for; some color, but not too much. =)

Thanks. It really is a cool looking place, and reasonably preserved. Most its age have already fallen over.
